Kensington Palace releases new photo of Prince George in commemoration of his fifth birthday

Prince George, who is expected to become the King of England in the future, had a very special photo of him taken to commemorate his fifth birthday.

The little Prince turned five years old this Sunday, July 22, 2018, and, much like they did in previous years, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared the sweet picture with the world.

The photo was posted on Kensington Palace's Twitter account, where millions of fans of the Royal Family were able to enjoy Prince George's bright smile.

George has shown his shy side recently, often hiding behind his father's legs or turning away from the cameras, but it seemed like he was more than happy to pose for it this time around.

The photo was taken by Matt Porteous,after the christening of little Prince Louis on July 9. Matt Holyak, another photographer, was the man responsible for snapping pictures of the ceremony, as well as the photo of the Duchess of Cambridge holding her baby boy in front of a tree.

In the garden of Clarence House, the residence of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, the 5-year-old posed with his biggest smile yet.

In the photo, the Prince can be seen wearing a short-sleeved white shirt with a peter pan collar, as well as a pair of navy blue pants, the same outfit that he wore for this year's Trooping the Colour.

Although he is still quite young, the future King of England already knows how to behave properly during the family's outings, whether it is a formal event or a playful trip to the park.

Along with his younger sister, Princess Charlotte, George has learned how to charm the crowd, often waving and smiling at the public whenever he is seen in public.

But, being a child, he also has moments when he feels like being a little bit of a prankster. For example, during the Royal Air Force anniversary, on July 10, George and Charlotte were spotted at the window of the Palace waving and showing their tongues in the middle of the festivities.
