On Monday, July 2, 2018, the 73-year-old found herself involved in a little fender bender, which caused her to suffer a couple of minor injuries and be taken to the hospital.

According to CBS2 Los Angeles, the actress revealed that she was doing very well and that she was thankful for all the well-wishes that she received after the incident.

TMZ was the first to report Hunt's crash, and it was revealed that the collision between vehicles originated when Hunt, who was driving a black BMW SUV, made a left turn, hitting two other cars.

The news outlet shared that an unidentified eyewitness claimed to have seen the SUV crash into a Sedan and a Honda. The paramedics were called while some of the bystanders helped Hunt by guiding her towards a lawn chair on the sidewalk.

There, the experienced actress's health condition was evaluated and it was determined that she would have to take a trip to the hospital to make sure that she didn't suffer any internal injuries.

Thankfully, just like Hunt, the other drivers, whose identities remain unknown, only suffered minor injuries as well. Now that she's recovering, the 73-year-old is exclusively focused on going back to work later this summer.

Hunt, who is originally from New Jersey, has appeared in over 200 episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles and starred in shows such as The Practice and Carnivàle, as well as Walt Disney's Pocahontas. She is also famous for being the narrator in God of War, the acclaimed video game franchise.

In 1983, Hunt was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress due to her performance in The Year of Living Dangerously, becoming the very first actress to win an Academy Award for playing a role of the opposite sex.
