As reported by Pop Sugar, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to wed at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

Meghan will officially become a member of the British royal family and will also acquire a new title after the big day.

Harry's official title is His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales, but he will receive his peerage when he gets married. Prince William became the Duke of Cambridge when he married Kate Middleton.

The 33-year-old Prince would first need to ask Queen Elizabeth's permission to marry Meghan, as per Royal protocol. The queen has to approve marriages when it comes to members who are in line to the throne.

According to People, Meghan's title will be Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales. But there's a possibility that she will become the Duchess of Sussex if the Queen decides to change Harry's title from His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales to the Duke of Sussex.

Sussex's Dukedom is available, so it's suspected that Harry and Meghan will become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The title of Duke of Sussex has been unassigned since 1843.

Harry is fifth in line, after his father, his brother, and William's two young children, George and Charlotte.

Harry would have been fourth in line, but the succession law was changed in 2015. Therefore, 2-year-old Princess Charlotte won't be displaced by other male members of the Royal Family.

There are five peerage titles: Duke, Marquess, Earl, Viscount, and Baron. Because Harry is a Prince, he'll be awarded the highest title.

Meghan and Harry first met in July 2016 on a blind date set by a mutual friend. They will be tying the knot on May 19, 2018, at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The former Suits actress has been settling into her new life with Harry in London, since their engagement on November 27, 2017.

Their engagement came two months after they made their first public appearance as a couple during the Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada.
