On September 26, 1992, Schroder married his wife Andrea. However, in 2016, after nearly 24 years of marriage, Andrea, 44, filed for divorce from Schroder, who was 46 years old at that time, citing irreconcilable differences. She was seeking spousal support and coverage of attorney's fees.

During the breakup, only their youngest daughter, Faith, was a minor. As such, Andrea was filing for sole custody of the young girl, with Schroder getting visitation rights. A few years before the couple's separation, Schroder had caused a stir when he withdrew his daughter Faith from her Malibu middle school.

Schroder made this decision due to concerns about what he believed to be a potential cancer outbreak in the school, triggered by three teachers receiving diagnoses and numerous others reporting various ailments.

The couple met in 1990 when Andrea was 18. But like many girls that age, she had a big crush on Schroder and had started harboring a dream of being the perfect match for the child star when she was 12.

She had dreamt about Schroder visiting her hometown, Calgary, and imagined they would make a perfect couple. She expressed her desires in a journal and hoped to go to the movies with him one day. The journal entry read, "This is really going to sound funny, but I like Ricky Schroder."

What sets her apart from countless others is that she turned this childhood fantasy into reality eight years later by marrying her celebrity crush. The pair tied the knot two years after their first meeting. They have four children together: sons Holden and Luke and daughters Cambrie and Faith.

The children were brought up on a beach in Topanga Canyon, surrounded by a stunning environment, which sparked a love for capturing beautiful moments in both Cambrie and her sister. The picturesque environment inspired them to take photos of the beach, their ranch, and their beloved animals.

Having grown up in the business, he was well aware of its challenges and the toll it could take on one's personal life. Drawing from his own experiences as a teenager struggling to be seen differently by adults, his foremost objective was to instill humility and groundedness in his children. Cambrie said, "His biggest goal was to have us stay humble and grounded."

According to Cambrie, his apprehension also prompted him to raise his children on a ranch. While he later complied with their wishes and supported their endeavors, his priority remained to ensure they remained down-to-earth even in the face of fame and success. Despite his concerns, he acknowledges the strength and work ethic instilled in them.

The girls are grateful for their upbringing on the ranch, which not only kept them grounded and humble but also helped them start their modeling careers. Cambrie stated, "It's hard not to take pictures when you're surrounded by a beautiful environment." In 2019, Cambrie opened up about a lesser-known detail about her life.

She bravely revealed the challenges of growing up in the shadow of her famous father. Despite her outwardly glamorous life as an Instagram model and fitness guru, Cambrie battled with depression and the complexities within her family behind the scenes. She revealed, "I grew up in a very abnormal situation. People might think it's so beautiful and glamorous, but actors aren't most of the time fully functioning humans."

Reflecting on her unconventional upbringing, she discussed the emotional toll of being the daughter of a celebrity and the struggles she faced in trying to establish her own identity amidst societal pressures and the cutthroat modeling industry. She told Daily Mail, "I had really high expectations of myself, and I always wanted to be something so great. I just felt paralyzed with expectation and pressure on myself, and my way to deal with it was to be alone and isolated."

The Hollywood model, who runs the successful lifestyle and fitness brand Fit With Cambrie, shared how her father's fame affected her emotional well-being, leading her to cope with isolation and depression by immersing herself in physical activities. Despite her achievements in the modeling industry, including a major campaign for Forever 21, Cambrie felt constant pressure to meet high expectations, resulting in feelings of inadequacy and confusion about her accomplishments.

The interview shed light on the challenges faced by individuals in the entertainment industry, particularly the scrutiny around body image and the pressure to conform to societal standards. Cambrie disclosed her internal struggles with self-esteem and body image, emphasizing the negative impact of societal expectations on mental health.

Cambrie expressed the strained relationship with her father, acknowledging his unconventional upbringing as a child actor and the resulting challenges in developing normal coping mechanisms. Despite her love for him, she revealed that she did not have a good bond with him and had to be the bigger person and guide the relationship to what she needed.

In recent years, Schroder, who is now 53, has immersed himself in his Christian faith and occasionally posts videos reading and explaining bible verses on his social media accounts. He has been keeping a low profile, and according to his IMDb page, he has not been involved in any project since the 2004 documentary "The Black Cloud."
