The teenager, Dylan Langhorne, was traveling with his 17-year-old brother on the way to Pennant Hills High School at 9:30 a.m. on November 28, 2018.

Driving their Toyota Corolla, P-plater driver Isaac crashed into a Land Rover in Thornleigh.

While heavy rains poured, the car swiveled out of control on the flooded street and crashed into two more parked cars.

Isaac and the Land Rover driver, 50, were both rushed to Westmead Hospital and were declared to be in stable condition. As for Dylan, he didn’t make it.

Thompson penned a loving tribute to her third son on the social media platform, making promises that he will never be forgotten.

She wrote, “If only I could hold my boy another time. I will never forget our special bond we had and you could tell me anything.”

The mother of five also turned to her husband, Shane Langhorne, writing, “We were the best parents and he knew it.”

Amid the devastation, Thompson took the time to thank everyone who offered their condolences to the family.

As for Dylan’s school, Pennant Hills High also released a statement to express their sorrow of his death.

“We cannot begin to explain the heartbreak this has brought upon our school and its community,” said the school.

The high school also stated that they had organized a support system for the students who were affected by the tragedy.

“In times like these, we are not torn apart, we unite and are only brought closer together. We will find the strength to get through these incomprehensible times,” the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Isaac’s closest friends rallied around the “brave” 17-year-old, saying that they were always available if he needed them. Dozens of people consoled him for losing his younger brother.

The storm caused another death as a State Emergency Service volunteer suddenly collapsed. The Minister for Emergency Services took the time to extend his sympathies to the family in a released statement.
