The College Station police interviewed Christon, 21, after she reported her daughter Hazana Anderson missing at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday according to CBS DFW.

Initially, Christon told investigators that she was in Gabbard Park with her two-year-old. She claimed she left Hazana in a stroller and went to get a bottle in the car.

Upon her return, Hazana was gone. But officers say that information is inaccurate. They highlighted that Christon placed her daughter "near a body of water," risking the child's safety.

Fishermen in the area said they heard the mother as she panicked on the phone. They then helped her look for her daughter who had not been strapped into her stroller.

Hazana's father, Tabodrick Anderson, said he was "blindsided" by the arrest of the young mother. He further told KPRC:

“When we were together, I didn’t see her doing anything like this. [Hazana] is the only thing I have. She is all I have. I want my daughter.”

He explained that his child's mother began thwarting her responsibilities after they broke up:

“She started pushing off my daughter on me a lot more. She started disappearing, leaving my daughter with me for weeks."

A search party was sent out that involved multiple agencies. The Harris County Sheriff's Office used K-9's and additional deputies to assist.

The girl is about three feet tall and weighs 28 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes, and a dark-colored birthmark on her left foot's big toe.

The young girl was last week with a black long-sleeve shirt with "Girl Squad" written on the front. She wore a green jacket, cream-colored ruffled pants, and pink socks and sneakers.

Last week, an Arizona woman also reported her son missing after the two visited the Brooks Crossing Park.

Jenna Folwell called the police around 1:30 p.m. last Wednesday and said someone placed a bag over her head then abducted her child.

The police found the four-week-old at Dobson Road and Loop 202, the mother's apartment.

They subsequently arrested Folwell and seized her phone. On it, they discovered more than 100 searches that centered around infanticide.

Folwell then claimed she was giving her son a bath and fainted. When police confronted her with the searches, she finally confessed to the murder.

She was placed in the Maricopa County Jail on charges of first-degree murder. The child's father was left devastated by the ordeal.

And back in September 2018, police were again faced with a deceitful mother who had caused the death of her child.
