The Eagles hit the road again with Glenn Frey's son Deacon Frey, and his voice is identical to his late father's at the height of his career.

As shown in the YouTube video, Deacon, 25, performed his Eagles 2018 North American Tour debut singing lead on "Take It Easy," which his father recorded on the band's debut album in 1972.

On September 15, 2018, the Eagles were live in concert on the last of three sold-out shows at The Fabulous Forum, Inglewood, California.

Deacon has played with his father's band since July 2017.

A MAN OF MANY TALENTS

After losing Glenn in January 2016, at the age of 67 from complications caused by rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia, Don Henley, the Eagle's drummer, believed that the band would never be able to tour again.

However, they toured again last year with two new members - country singer Vince Gill and Deacon.

Henley said in an interview with the Dallas sports radio station KTCK that Glenn's child is an extremely gifted young man who "seems to be up for the task."

"He’s enthusiastic about it, and he’s been working real hard on it, and he’s gonna do it with us. And I think that’s appropriate," he said.

Henley also told Rolling Stone that he was impressed by how "brave and composed" Deacon was regardless of the pressure.

FAMILY BLOOD

The singer-drummer now says that the band would have come to an end if it wasn't for Deacon.

Henley revealed that at first, Deacon was attempting to sing the tunes precisely as his father sang them.

"In the beginning he was trying to sing the songs exactly as Glenn sang them, in phrasing and emphasis," he said.

"But over the past few shows, he’s put his own twist and interpretation on the songs. It makes it more authentic to him."

Deacon has been touring the world with his dad's band for a year now. He shared the microphone with Gill.
